ARTerres summer day camp starts in Wakefield -


Les ARTerres is a bilingual eco-art camp for children aged 6-12. The camp will run from August 16-20, and from August 23 - 27, at Eco Echo.

West African drumming workshops -

Pierrot Vadeboncoeur will lead two introductory one-hour drumming workshops at Eco Echo near Wakefield on July 3. They will begin at 2pm and 4pm, with bilingual instruction, and are for all ages. Cost is $5 for CPF members, $10 for non-members. Please bring your own drum - but if you don't have one, Pierrot has a few you can borrow. You can drop in, but drums are limited, so to reserve your spot, please call 819-790-0649 or email sbutler@cpf.qc.ca.




Wakefield chapter uses pottery to teach French -


The Wakefield chapter organized a pottery class in French at Mud Pies Pottery on June 6. The kids made bowls and cups, as well as fanciful clay creatures. To find out more about what the chapter is up to, please contact Marion Koch at marion.koch@sympatico.ca.

Circo Humano visits Mary Gardner School in Chateauguay -


Students learning to juggle

Circo Humano's continuing tour of Quebec brought their educational and entertaining workshop and show to Mary Gardner Elementary School on March 25. In the morning, they taught back-to-back workshops to two gym classes, and in the afternoon they presented their hour-long show, full of juggling, unicycling, and stilt-walking. It was, as before, a huge hit with the students and staff.
